Chaski Green Tour Operator is ready to help travelers who visit Peru in times of pandemic, it is important to know how you can contribute to stopping the spread of COVID-19 and to know the tools and resources necessary to stay up to date on this situation and protect yourself. while traveling to Machu Picchu.

TERMS & CONDITIONS COVID-19

Due to the health emergency caused by COVID-19, Chaski Green Tour Operator has relaxed its change and cancellation policies, so that you can adapt your trip to current conditions.

For confirmed reservations until December 31, 2021, the following terms and conditions will apply. If not, please review our regular Terms & conditions.

Reservations and Payments

You can book without obligation up to 7 days before the services contracted with us begin, to have time to adjust the trip according to the established restrictions. 7 days before, you must pay 100% of the trip. This is necessary, because your hosts buy supplies and prepare for your arrival. If the services are contracted less than 7 days in advance, full payment will be required at the time of confirmation.

Chaski Green Tour Operator does not do financial management, as part of our fair trade policies, we seek to pay our suppliers in advance according to prior agreement with them.

During the reservation process, some services may not be available and Chaski Green will proceed to offer similar alternatives, always with the approval of the passenger.

In case of requiring reservations with suppliers that require advance payment (for example: buses, train or airplanes), this payment must be made in advance of the reservation.

Payment methods

Payment can be made using the methods listed below.

PayPal (6% fee that must be paid by the passenger.

Bank Transfer (In the case of an international traveler, the rates will depend on the transaction amount and the banking institution and must be paid by the passenger.

International Electronic Transfer: Western Union, Money Gram, etc. (The fees will depend on the transaction amount and the platform used).

Changes and Cancellations

Changes – Faced with the need for postponement or changes in the date of the trip, there will be additional cost only in the following cases:

Changes of tickets in means of transport: The policy of the corresponding institution applies. Previously agreed with the passenger.

Seasonal changes: if the new proposed date implies an increase in costs by our suppliers (For example: accommodation prices in high season), the difference will be charged for these services with prior notice to the passenger.

In case the passenger wants a specific provider, the terms and conditions applied will correspond to the respective institution that provides the service, with their prior authorization.

Chaski Green Tour Operator reserves the right to change / modify confirmed itineraries due to conditions that do not allow activities to be carried out, such as adverse weather conditions, closed roads and any operational difficulties outside the institution and that compromise the safety of the clients. With the approval of the passenger, alternatives will be sought to replace those activities. In the absence of exchange options, the policies of the respective provider will apply for the refund of the money.

Cancellations – Faced with the need to cancel the trip for justified reasons, the following policies will apply:

Chaski Green administration cost: They will not be charged

Means of transport: If Chaski Green manages tickets in means of transport and the passenger needs to cancel or modify them, the terms and conditions applied depend on the corresponding institution. In case of cancellation, the refund of taxes and boarding fees can only be ensured in the case of airplanes. These policies will be previously discussed with the passengers.

Accommodation: If the passenger needs to cancel or modify the accommodation conditions, the terms and conditions applied will correspond to the respective institution that provides the service.

Suppliers: Faced with more restrictive cancellation policies by our suppliers, the passenger will be previously notified.

Transaction costs will not be refunded.

Health Problems and Accidents

Chaski Green services do not include travel insurance. It is the customer’s responsibility to take one if they need it.

Chaski Green works with guides trained in any emergency situation and who have knowledge of the places and cultures visited. They will not expose passengers to any risky situation and, furthermore, they have the authority to decide whether an activity should be modified or canceled due to safety reasons. If the client does not follow the recommendations, Chaski Green is not responsible for the consequences derived from this, including extra costs.

The company will not be responsible for losses, robberies, thefts or deaths caused directly or indirectly by accidents or conditions that are beyond the control of the institution (earthquakes, landslides, river flooding, etc.).

Special needs

Chaski Green cares about satisfying all the needs of its passengers, so it is important that any special needs required, including specific diets, are notified as far in advance as possible.
